Description

The Benefit and Engagement Specialist serves as the primary point of contact to address day-to-day employee benefits and human resources administration inquiries. This individual is also responsible for developing and executing customized onboarding plans while creating an enthusiastic environment for new teammates. Other duties include:

  • Represent APR by providing outstanding employee experience when serving and addressing teammates' inquiries. Process new hire benefit enrollments and changes; assists and resolves benefit-related issues.
  • Plan and execute customized new hire onboarding plans while generating enthusiasm in new hires for APR.
  • Maintain various insurance benefit databases (carrier connections or directly into vendor websites), systems and files keeping them up-to-date. Performs audits of invoices and reconciles discrepancies.
  • Administer time-off programs (STD, LTD, FMLA, UC, etc.) for the Company. Provides accurate counseling and explanation of the benefits, determining eligibility, and all appropriate documentation, verification and implementation of the benefit through to conclusion.
  • Assists with the organization and implementation of company initiatives associated with wellness, including events, programs, employee recognition.
 
Position Requirements Required for Success:<br>The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and professional in all communications. Must be an enthusiastic self-starter with attention to detail and follow-up, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in a customer-focused environment.<br>&bull; College Degree in Business/HR preferred<br>&bull; Minimum of 3-5 years of benefit administration experience<br>&bull; Customer service mindset<br>&bull; Knowledge of benefits and applicable laws and excellent follow-up.<br>&bull; Possesses excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.<br>&bull; Organizational and time management skills.<br>&bull; Proficient with Office 365 suite and familiarity with HRIS system software
