Repository/Weigh Associate 

Description

Frontier Scientific is searching for both Weigh Associates and Repository Associates to assist with picking orders and weighing out chemical compounds for our clients.  These roles will include cross training for instances where one department needs more help, however, we are searching for candidates to fill each role where your work will primarily be.  Apply today! 

The Weigh Associate position is responsible for fulfilling all weigh orders within the Neat department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Fulfill client weigh order requests – including precisely measuring/weighing chemical compounds per order instructions
  • Perform tare weigh, weight capture and gross weigh for all orders
  • Follow standard operating procedures as outlined on the Daily Assessment Sheet, verify compounds match order instructions prior to weighing
  • Confirm glove boxes are charge with nitrogen prior to weighing
  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment – including wiping down work area, thoroughly cleaning all utensils, restock supplies, sweep work station and remove all trash
  • Maintains regular work schedule and is free from excessive absenteeism or tardiness
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

The Repository Associate position is responsible for fulfilling all weigh orders within the Neat department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists with management of vials for all repositories including new compounds, misplaced and depleted vials
  • Pick orders accurately and on time
  • Assist in random checks on all locations in the repositories
  • Assist weigh floor when needed
  • Scan 2D barcode in order to verify data
  • Verify all data from placed order before handing order to liquid processing/weigh floor
  • Maintains regular work schedule and is free from excessive absenteeism or tardiness
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
 
Position Requirements

Education and/or experience

  • Prior experience working with small weight scales 0.00001g to 120g is a plus
  • Thorough attention to detail, abilitly to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of on demand work flows in a warehouse/distribution facility is a plus
  • Ability to follow directions and retain information on projects/processes
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Expereince of general chemical lab/warehouse safety and chemical compliance is a plus

Physical requirements

  • Frequent handling of chemicals
  • Regularly required to, stand, sit, talk, listen, and use hands and fingers to perform duties
  • Must feel comfortable going into temperature controlled areas to pull and put back chemicals
  • Ability to use fine motor skills and handle chemicals to weigh small quantity vials
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements to perform weigh duties
  • Able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including lab coat, gloves and face mask while performing job duties
