JOB SUMMARY:

The PMO Lead will have a strong foundation in software development to guide our project management endeavors. This role involves overseeing our in-house development team and multiple vendor-managed scrum teams. This role will thrive in high-pressure environments, meticulously monitor project milestones, and prioritize end-user feedback to ensure the alignment of deliverables with stakeholder expectations. The PMO Lead will blend technical knowledge with management acumen to ensure excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES:

  • Technical Leadership: Provide direction to the in-house development team and external vendor teams, ensuring projects align with technical standards and company objectives.
  • Vendor Coordination: Engage with vendor-managed scrum teams, ensuring deliverables are timely, technically sound, and align with project specifications.
  • Progress Monitoring: Employ comprehensive tracking mechanisms to assess the progress of all software development projects continuously.
  • Feedback Integration: Systematically gather, review, and integrate end-user feedback to ensure the final software solutions are both technically robust and user centric.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the technical liaison between the development teams and other organizational departments, facilitating transparent communication on software design, challenges, and deliverables.
  • Resource Optimization: Efficiently allocate technical resources, ensuring balanced workloads and the high-quality output of software deliverables.
  • Continuous Process Improvement: Lead retrospective sessions to evaluate software outcomes, pinpoint potential improvement areas, and refine PMO processes accordingly.
  • Conflict Resolution: Address and mitigate technical or team-related challenges, ensuring a smooth and efficient software development process.

 

 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years experience in a PMO leadership role with a strong focus on software development.
  • Ability to navigate high-stress, dynamic environments with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and best PMO practices within a technical context.
  • Strong technical acumen, with the ability to engage in software-related discussions and decisions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Bilingual in English & Vietnamese preferred.
