The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures furthers the understanding, celebration, and preservation of cinema through inclusive and accessible exhibitions, screenings, programs, initiatives, and collections. Reporting to the Manager of Advancement Services, the Specialist, Advancement Services Reporting supports the Advancement Services team in developing strategies for maximizing the capabilities of our systems with an emphasis on efficiency and provides proactive and intuitive support to all teams. This position is responsible for database reporting and data analytics across various systems. The ideal candidate is an organized data-driven thinker, understands Advancement and donor data, and can multi-task and prioritize deadlines. This is a hybrid role. 

This position is being represented by a union. 

You Will:

  • Oversee all Advancement Services Salesforce data and reporting through various systems, including Salesforce, Airtable, and Ticketure.
  • Work closely with various departments to execute reports, exports, and imports.
  • Create and distribute development reports including reports on campaigns, pledge installments, new donors, and fundraising progress.
  • Train end users and work proactively with staff, making recommendations and assisting in the design and analysis of reports and data.
  • Prepare stewardship and research reports and dashboards that support the Corporate, Grants, Research, and Fundraising teams' efforts.
  • Manage database standards guides, including policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the implementation of best practices in information management.
  • Coordinate the review and updates of Advancement Services web pages.
  • Work together with the Museum Membership team to manage and provide all membership-related reporting, including renewal data, mailing lists, suppression lists, and transaction reports.
  • Work closely with IT, Membership, and Visitor Experience teams to properly manage department data and resolve Advancement-related data issues.
  • Assist with maintenance of Advancement files and shared drive.
 
Position Requirements

You Have:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of database or systems role experience.
  • 1+ years of firsthand experience with Salesforce or equivalent, preferably Non-Profit Success Pack.
  • Advancement Services experience is strongly preferred.
  • Non-profit, museum, or Arts & Culture experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in database reporting, data visualization, and data analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to discern relevant facts in problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and awareness of the Donor Bill of Rights.
  • The highest degree of professionalism and discretion in dealing with donor information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and training skills.

  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.

The expected base hourly wage for this role is $24.04 to $24.54. The actual base pay offered will be determined by factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and other factors permitted by law. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis.
