Business Development Manager - Bilingual (Vietnamese)

The Business Development Manager is a selling role responsible for managing and supporting retail sales and marketing activities for the Vietnamese community for VinFast US nationwide. This critical role will be responsible for developing and closing sales, with oversight of sales personnel and direct accountability for achieving sales delivery and client satisfaction objectives.


  • Establish strategies and successfully execute action plans to achieve delivery, client experience and sales targets for the project’s KPIs.
  • Oversee and lead sales, promotions, marketing, and delivery activities for the projected area, ensuring alignment to brand KPIs
  • Implement key initiatives set by VinFast US Sales, marketing, and other functional areas
  • Accommodate industry modifications and changes to operating plans, as well as implement new strategies and tactics to adjust these changes when needed
  • Explore opportunities for continuous improvement to maximize sales and improve purchase experience for VinFast US Vietnamese community
  • Day-to-day management and supervision of Business Development Associate to ensure achievement of vehicle delivery, customer experience, and other brand KPIs
  • Mentor, train and develop VinFast US business development team leadership and employees for Vietnamese Community
  • Monitor employee productivity against targets for KPIs tied to overall sales and company performance
  • Develop and report on performance summaries and action plans for presentations to executives as necessary
  • Attend conferences and industry events to develop the network
Position Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 8+ years of progressive work experience in retail and store management
  • Bi-lingual in Vietnamese language
  • Experience managing sales targets and team members within a given market area
  • Proven track record of success in achieving operational and sales targets
  • Automotive and electric vehicle (EV) experience a plus
  • Experience in a start-up environment or with new product launches
  • Professional communication, writing and presentation skills
  • Strong relationship, team building and leadership skills, with ability to build strong interpersonal relationships with US executive leadership, internal stakeholders, peers, and external partners
  • High level of attention to detail and organization
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Creative problem solver.
  • Proficiency in business productivity tools and software (MS Office Suite, Salesforce, CRM)
  • Flexible and adaptable in a startup environment
  • 30% travel
