JOB SUMMARY:

VinFast sets a high bar to ensure that our vehicles meet targeted functionality and exceed customer expectations. We are looking for talented teammates who will help us work out the bugs and improve our client journey during E2E testing. The UAT Test Engineer will execute tests on an app, website, and in-vehicle while reporting issues in a JIRA tracking tool.

RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES:

  • Run daily UAT tests and report them in JIRA.
  • Collaborate with UAT engineers and business owners on new/additional test cases.
  • Define pass/fail criteria for reported issues.
  • Support Mobile Network Carrier certification. Prior experience with Sprint or T-Mobile 4G devices is desired.
  • Support mobile log collection and triage for LTE or 5G devices
  • Experience with carrier device test houses such as Spirent or Tech Mahindra is desired.
  • Collaborate with Connected Car engineers on vehicle functionality and head unit SW.
  • Collaborate on the creation of UAT test plan.
    • Primary scope is E2E testing from the client point of view as outlined in the Customer Experience Manager’s client journey.
    • Secondary scope is from the business user point of view.
  • Reviews UI/UX and provide input where/when appropriate.
    • Start a backlog for ideas that we would like to implement.

 

 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
  • 2-5 years of experience designing and developing automotive electrical components and systems with a focus on multimedia and infotainment.
  • 2-5 years of experience in developing specifications and design verification test plans pertaining to multimedia and infotainment with an emphasis on telematics.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in telematics hardware and software design and/or its validation.
  • Good electrical fundamentals and being able to read vehicle, electrical schematics, and wire harness diagrams.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues on bucks, vehicles, or benches. Familiarity with basic automotive tools.
  • Strong Automotive CAN/CAN-FD fundamentals, familiarity with Automotive Ethernet, UDS Protocol.
  • Desire and the ability to not just test but also root cause issues and support development of multiple ECUs.
  • Familiarity with WiFi/LTE/GPS.
  • Valid Driver License and satisfactory driving record
