Scottsdale Christian Academy (SCA) is a Christ-Centered covenant Christian school in our 5th decade in metropolitan Phoenix, Arizona. First founded in 1968, the high school opened in 1973, and has maintained its core mission of maximizing the God-given potential of each student, preparing them to live lives of distinction, by impacting the world for Jesus Christ. We provide a Christian worldview education with academic excellence, arts, and athletics. We are accredited by Cognia and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). SCA seeks Christian professionals who are Christ-centered, competent, compassionate, relational, of high character, and who are impassioned in their field. The Director of Admissions & Events will lead SCA’s initiatives in admissions, family recruitment, new enrollments and re-enrollment. This person shall be spiritually mature and shall reflect the purpose of the school, which is always to honor Christ. SCA hires with a focus first on Christ, together with character, competence, and chemistry with our community. This job description is not all-encompassing, and SCA is seeking an individual who can conduct these responsibilities with a spirit of love, compassion, customer service, and partnership with leadership. The person should be someone capable of making difficult decisions, have leadership qualities that include team building, relationship building, and hold all these responsibilities with a Biblical worldview.

Education & Experience:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field in an accredited post-secondary institution. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of admissions and/or leadership experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in a K-12 private education setting preferred.
  • Proven track record as a highly collaborative professional to successfully lead, manage and work with a wide range of individuals.
  • Ability to think critically, work collaboratively, respect confidentiality, and use data to make informed decisions in the best interest of the school.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized with an ability to manage a range of objectives and to execute multiple objectives concurrently.
  • Demonstrate a high level of computer literacy with skilled proficiency in word processing and Excel, emailing, managing databases and internet research.
  • Proven track record of time management skills.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Display a profound passion for and commitment to the Mission and Vision of Scottsdale Christian Academy.
  • Represent Scottsdale Christian as a warm and authentic ambassador who embodies the ideals and mission of the school in both words and actions.
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Admissions and Events Office using effective planning, interpersonal, and project management skills.
  • Create and implement a comprehensive enrollment plan each year that will strategically attract, enroll, and retain mission fit families.
  • Evaluate the success of the enrollment plan each year and prepare reports to advise the Superintendent and leadership team on all aspects of the admissions and enrollment processes, including trends, forecasts, successes, and challenges.
  • Steward prospective students and families throughout all phases of the admissions process, from initial contact through enrollment and onboarding.
  • Develop, implement, and assess policies, procedures, and systems for the Admissions Office, to ensure they remain consistent with school policies.
  • Engage with other Christian schools to remain current on trends in education and innovative new approaches to school admissions and enrollment management.
  • Design, organize and coordinate the execution of engaging community events, such as on-campus experiences and open house events, that will showcase the rich offerings and value of Scottsdale Christian to prospective students, families, and members of the community.
  • Plan, coordinate and manage all aspects of various community events including venues, staffing, and food and beverage. Manage event budgets, and work with various vendors, volunteers, employees, and students.
  • Develop strategic relationships, both on and off campus, that will provide ongoing opportunities to share the values of the school to new and existing families.
  • Partner with the marketing office in designing effective media, campaigns, presentations, and materials.
  • Educate families about Student Tuition Organizations (STOs) and Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) programs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time for event set-up, tear-down and events.
  • Ability to travel to various events.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to work a variety of hours to accommodate events.
