Should be familiar with electrical, structural, civil, mechanical, HVAC, and fire protection. Experience with construction/repair contracts, specifically, must be able to read and understand a contract, contract drawings, and contract specifications and be able to verify work is completed in accordance with the contract documents.  Must be familiar with, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook and Adobe Acrobat.s. PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF FACILITY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN: Attending meetings Perform field investigations Document site conditions Field logistical coordination Daily site inspections General safety and quality assurance oversight Short range (2-3 week look ahead) scheduling Schedule reviews Submittal reviews Outage coordination Building access support Laydown coordination Site visit support Providing updates on project status to team members Coordinating construction work with building occupants  QUALIFICATIONS: Should be familiar with most building systems but doesn’t need to be an expert in any particular system. Individual should be familiar with electrical, structural, civil, mechanical, HVAC, and fire protection. Experience with construction/repair contracts.
