We are seeking an MS/HS Administrative Assistant to the Principals for the 2023-2024 school year. A candidate who is passionate about Christian education and is called to work at a Christian school, supporting the administration, staff, and families. This position reports directly to the principals of Middle School and the High School. The Administrative Assistant supports the principals through organization, planning, scheduling, communication, and coordinating.

A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience is highly recommended. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Have the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects. Should establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Under the direction of the MS/HS Principals, the Administrative Assistant will perform a wide variety of secretarial and clerical duties, relieve the principals of a variety of administrative details, and maintain confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information.

  • Support the Principals in their roles and responsibilities.
  • Understand proper office procedures and operate a variety of office equipment.
  • Originate and answer emails and phone calls.
  • Update/maintain the principals Outlook calendar.
  • Deal with diverse situations and diversity of people.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse, and sometimes irate, individuals. Handle calmly and efficiently, situations ranging from routine to emergency.
  • Welcome visitors including students, teachers, administrators, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • Serve the needs of students, teachers, administrators, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare documents utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, scanning, and other software programs.
  • Possess memory and organizational ability to set priorities, organize workload, handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
  • Perform work independently; a self-starter.
  • Schedule Middle School Conference Room meetings.
  • Maintain Middle School Conference Room calendar.
  • Work collaboratively, cohesively, and effectively as a team player with other colleagues.
  • Complete miscellaneous jobs as assigned by Principals.

Reqirements:

  • Attain an ACSI 2-year Temporary certificate within the first two years of employment.
