Position Prevention Specialist  
Description

Seeking a candidate to provide AOD and MH prevention services within two newly developed programs that will be targeting youth and adults at risk for developing mental health or substance use disorders. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in the behavioral health field and possess a knowledge base regarding standards of prevention services. The candidate must be able to work at a highly independent level and take initiative in reaching out to establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations including schools, community centers, healthcare centers, neighborhood organizations, etc. The Youth Empowerment Support (YES) program aims to partner with organizations serving youth to develop youth-led prevention activities. The Conversations About Recovery and Support (CARS) program aims to partner with organizations serving adults with substance use concerns to provide education and consultation to help with understanding the risks and facilitating access to treatment if needed.

 

 
Position Requirements

Position requires at least one of the following certifications: RN, Certified Prevention Specialist, LPC/PCC, LSW/LISW.
