Description

The Associate Engineer is responsible for assisting in the development of technical standards and related products, programs, and services, working under the guidance of the Engineering Manager, assisting assigned member committees by providing technical and operations guidance, and administering assigned standards processes and programs to ensure effective, timely and accurate standards and member/customer satisfaction. The role is also responsible for more complex operations and duties in production. Tracks equipment performance and adjusts setups, calibrations, and alignments. Calls other specialists when serious problems occur. Tracks data associated with production equipment. Reports any inconsistencies and uses standard repair procedures.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Engineering standards compliance
  • Project management, including cost accountability
  • Project scheduling, planning and compliance with scheduling commitments
  • Projects and designs compliant with Process Safety, ergonomics, MSHA, OSHA, ISO 9000, standards, regulatory requirements and applicable codes
  • Departmental record keeping and databases
  • Manage performance management and compensation system for reports
  • Prioritize work and projects
  • Project closure and accounting interface
  • Project management, including cost accountability
