Share Email Opening Title Materials Management  Description Role & Responsibilities Reporting to the VP of Operations Responsible for activities related to controlling, scheduling, and managing the flow of production from acquisition of raw materials to distribution of finished product. The Buying/ Planning area is responsible for timely purchasing of raw materials, components and parts while keeping right quantity, quality, and cost. analysis and negotiates quotations and contracts. Maintains relationships with suppliers, recommends changes in purchasing procedures to improve service, quality, and/or reduce cost. Will lead a team of buyers/planners Ideal candidate will be: Interested in future upward mobility and potentially taking a larger role within the business or other TransDigm businesses Emotionally intelligent and able to build strong trust with leaders and employees of diverse backgrounds and situations at all levels Collaborative, marked by transparency and flexibility, with a commitment to building strong teams An exceptional communicator in both written and verbal interactions; clear, concise, and courageous in giving tough but supportive feedback when needed Comfortable with ambiguity and constant change, nimble and responsive in the short-term while driving progress on longer-term initiatives Proficient in our ERP (Epicor) Minimum Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field plus a minimum of 8 years direct industry experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree e.g., MBA and closer to 12 years of industry experience in a manufacturing environment.  Minimum of 5 years of people leadership experience required Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and build a consensus in a high-pressure environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite US Citizenship required Physical Demands: Must be able to support standard business hours, Monday through Friday.  Must also be able to support overtime on weekdays or weekends as required to support business needs. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. and be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
