General Description

The Family Support Services (FSS) Family Support Specialist will work collaboratively with parents, school personnel, and public and private agencies to guide families in overcoming obstacles to self-sufficiency. Guided by the Protective Factors Framework the Family Support Specialist will provide comprehensive services to families in support of a child’s lifelong learning, health, and behavior. Working with those impacted by trauma can be fulfilling and meaningful, yet simultaneously challenging, requiring attention to one’s self-care. FSA strives to be a trauma-informed and resilience-oriented organization, actively identifying and employing methods to support staff to embody a healthy and sustainable balance of care for others and themselves.
