Description

Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking a Sr. Reservoir Engineer reporting to the Reservoir Manager. The Sr. Reservoir Engineer will be responsible for creating development plans to maximize asset value and providing reservoir engineering support for a variety of projects (as detailed below). The ideal candidate will have strong technical and inter-personal skills, is excited by new challenges, and is able to contribute his/her expertise while working on multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

General Responsibilities

  • Work with multidisciplinary team to generate and execute development plans that maximize the value of Permian Resources' Assets
  • Provide reservoir engineering support and guidance on multidisciplinary field/well studies with a specific focus on economic analysis supported by rate transient analysis, decline curve analysis, material balance, volumetrics, etc.
  • Leverage data and studies from multiple sources to understand performance drivers and rapidly integrate leanings into asset development plans
  • Analyze lateral and vertical well spacing, and development sequencing across all fields to determine the optimal development plan within each target horizon and flow unit
  • Collaborate with team to analyze completion and production practices that optimize value across acreage position
  • Analyze reservoir fluids and monitor production performance to generate accurate production forecasts for all wells
  • Assess risk and uncertainty within development plans and apply probabilistic thinking to development decision making
  • Assist in the technical evaluation of oil and gas properties including offset analysis, type curve generation and economic modeling
  • Work with Finance and Corporate Planning teams to maintain long term budget forecast, and update type curve, PDP, and expense forecasts regularly
  • Mentor and coach other team members
 
Position Requirements

Preferred Qualifications and Proficiencies

  • BS in Engineering and 6+ years of oil and gas engineering experience with 4+ years of reservoir engineering experience
  • Relevant reservoir engineering experience with unconventional resource plays is required
    • Specific interest in candidates with Delaware Basin experience
  • Proficient at performing petroleum economics
  • Understanding of risk, uncertainty, and probabilistic thinking
  • Comfortable working with large datasets
  • Must be self-motivated and capable of independently integrating within multi-disciplinary teams
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
