Description

Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking a Business Development Landman. Reporting to the Business Development Land Director, the Business Development Landman will be responsible for all aspects of land work within their designated area. The ideal candidate will have strong technical background as well as communication skills and be able to contribute his/her expertise while working on multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

General Responsibilities

  • Work with a multi-disciplinary team to accomplish goals and objectives within budgetary guidelines
  • Strong ability to identify viable business opportunities and create concise proposals regarding the opportunities
  • Manage leasing projects, acreage trades, due diligence reviews, marketed and non-marketed acquisitions and divestitures
  • Track and monitor competitive landscape including competitor acquisitions, mergers, and general activities
  • Structure complex and creative business deals
  • Develop and present executive level presentations
  • Perform high level land functions within the acquisition and divestiture space
  • Expert interpreting, negotiating, and preparing Land related contracts, such as: Oil and Gas Leases, Operating Agreements, Farmouts, Term Assignments and other similar documentation
  • Interact and provide the asset and operations teams with a high-level of Land support and information critical to ongoing development of properties
  • Work with the asset team in supporting operations and identifying new areas of growth
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field from an accredited University or College
  • 3+ years of experience as a Landman or similar role
  • Direct land experience in and knowledge of the Permian Basin (Texas and NM, plus)
  • Experience in, mergers, acquisitions, acreage trades and asset divestitures
  • Demonstrated work experience utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects and obtain results in a performance driven, team-oriented environment
  • Self-starter/self-motivator
