Are you interested in developing your knowledge and skills as a family therapist? FSA is adding a full-time or part-time therapist in our Lompoc location with great training opportunities in Family Therapy!

Are you interested in a job using your therapeutic training and skills?
The Child/Youth/Family Therapist will provide therapeutic services to clients with a variety of conditions. Services are provided primarily in our offices, with the possibility of a limited number of services provided via telehealth or in a community setting. Staff may have the option of performing non-clinical functions (e.g. documentation) remotely. Working hours will generally be Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm, but some evenings may be necessary, depending on client needs.

What will these staff do?

  • Facilitate individual and/or family therapy using evidence-based treatment modalities and other promising practices known to be effective with populations served.
  • Conduct clinical assessments evaluating the current status of clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health and considering relevant cultural issues and concerns.
  • Compose treatment plans informed by clinical assessments.
  • Document all clinical and service activities promptly after providing service.
  • Engage in case management activities.
  • Foster positive interagency relationships and provide referrals for any indicated outside resources.
  • Maintain all cases according to industry standards, including the appropriateness of service and quality of care.
  • Pre-licensed staff must meet weekly for group supervision. Additional supervision may be offered as determined by the Clinical Supervisor.
  • Licensed staff must meet at least once a month for Clinical Consultation.
  • Maintain licensure/registration status and adhere to all legal and ethical standards of practice as established by the CA Board of Behavioral Sciences.

Position Requirements

Who are we looking to hire?

  • Must be one of the following: AMFT, ASW, APCC, LMFT, LCSW, LPCC or graduate student trainee
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
  • Excellent clinical, interpersonal, analytical, computer, written, and verbal communication skills required.
  • Professional attitude, enjoys teamwork, and ability to maintain confidentiality a must.
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experienced preferred.
  • Valid CA driver license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation required.

Important information regarding the positions:

  • FSA is offering one full-time (40 hours/week) position in Lompoc. We will also consider part-time employment for these positions.
  • Positions working 30+ hours/week are offered full benefits: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, flexible spending accounts and 403(b) retirement plan. Generous vacation, holiday, and sick leave also offered.
  • Pay range for applicants is $27-$34/hour, depending on trainee/associate/licensure status.
