JOB SUMMARY:

The EV Charging Project Manager manages and monitors PMO best practices, procedures, and processes compliant with enterprise standards, audit, and regulatory requirements. Works collaboratively with Business Owners from Charging Operations, Software Development, Home Charging, Public Charging and Commercial Real Estate Charging portfolios to ensure project teams adhere to the project management governance standards and controls while continuously developing project management skills. The EV Charging Analyst understands and mitigates the risks and facilitates communication with PMO and impacted stakeholders in a timely manner.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES:

 

  • Facilitates regular reviews with project managers to ensure PM process controls, artifacts and documentation meet required criteria.
  • Assists with project / program controls review and audit readiness for projects across various PDM portfolios.
  • Manages, tracks, and oversees several dependent and interconnected projects with varying complexity making sure they are delivered on time, within budget and with quality.
  • Works collaboratively with Product Delivery Manager (PDM) to facilitate requisite PM training.
  • Provide program leadership, anticipate bottlenecks, mitigate risks, and quantify the impact of making tradeoffs.
  • Performs continuous risk management to minimize project/program risks and provide recommendations for mitigating risks or delays.
  • Ensures the processes adhere to applicable risk, regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Ensures all PM processes meet established standards, effectively utilize templates and tools to track compliance and operational effectiveness standards.
  • Manages/validates evidence of requisite process controls.
  • Manages program scope, schedules (Project Plans), resources and risks, bringing in leadership as needed.
  • Provides guidance to PMs and PDMs on the process updates and impacts to the current programs and projects, resulting in successful audit outcomes.
  • Ensures project control requirements are executed in accordance with governance frameworks focused on risk appetite, regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Acts as trusted advisor and liaison between PMO and Enterprise Project Delivery Center of Excellence to ensure timely recommendations and adjustments are implemented where required based on process changes.
  • Demonstrates stakeholder partnership that involves effective communicating with project teams.
  • Demonstrates ownership and commitment by holding themselves accountable for the identification and resolution of gaps / issues.
  • Oversees project intake process and manages dashboard that tracks all projects and initiatives.
  • Adheres to VinFast risk, regulatory and compliance controls.
  • Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.
  • Broader work or project management accountabilities may be assigned based on priorities.
 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field of study
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience
  • 5+ years’ of Project management experience
  • PMP designation from the Project Management Institute (PMI) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge in SmartSheet.

 

 

 

  • SmartSheet utilization experience as a PMO tool
  • Working knowledge of project management governance processes, KPIs and exposure to project/program audits.
  • Stakeholder management
  • Proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders across multiple functions and at all levels, both within and outside of the company.
  • Experience developing, managing, and leading projects with competing demands and aggressive timelines.
  • Able to apply project management methodologies or approaches.
