General Summary:

Under the supervision of the Juvenile Court Caseworker/Referee, assists in the clerical and service needs of the Adolescents in Recovery Court (ARC) program which is designed to divert juveniles diagnosed with mental health disorders from the formal court docket. Assists in program administration as well as monitoring and meeting the needs of program participants and their families.

Essential Functions:

  1. Assists the ARC Coordinator, ARC Clinical Liaison and Intensive Probation Officer in meeting the needs of participants and their families enrolled in the ARC program.

  1. Performs clerical and support functions in support of the ARC program.

  1. Attends and participates in weekly meetings the ARC program.

  1. Utilizes the Drug Court Case Management Information System to enter and complete case notes and other information.

  1. Assists the ARC Team in developing and monitoring participants' service plans.

  1. Provides supervision and oversight of ARC participants as requested by the Intensive Probation Officer.

  1. Assists the ARC Team in identifying and communicating with community resources for participants and families.

  1. Accompanies caregivers to community appointments to advocate for services and resources.

  1. Maintains a high level of flexibility in work assignments; shifting activities and focus in response to changing program needs.

  1. Performs other duties as required.

 
Position Requirements

Employment Qualifications:


Education:

A high school diploma is preferred.


Experience:

Prior experience working with at-risk youth and their families is preferred.


Other Requirements:

Some experience in Microsoft Office Suite applications and ability to master the court reporting software.

A Michigan Vehicle Operator’s License.


Working Conditions:

Works both in an office and client service settings.
