Description

The Merchandise Program Administrator will oversee all aspects of VinFast merchandise development, and retail price competitiveness including all aspects of VinFast US merchandise product planning, collaboration on merchandise launch, marketing, and oversight of the merchandise development process within VinFast companies. This includes close attention to merchandise development operations, inventory, planning, and timely delivery that are required for new store openings and merchandise introductions.

RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES:

  • Oversight of merchandising operations, service agreement contracts with VinFast partners and financial performance to ensure company objectives for merchandise revenue and profitability are met.
  • Management of the store retail merchandise product planning and development oversight for all new merchandise to assure synergy as well as on-time launch availability, design, quality, functionality, installation, and training standards are achieved.
  • Operational interface responsibility with VinFast HQ & VinFast US for all retail merchandise launch functions.
  • SKU management with alignment with retail merchandise ticketing & store point of sale (POS) system
  • Recommend initial buys, manage reorders, and identify slow selling styles to ensure productive inventory
  • Analyze sales, feedback, and historical data on weekly/monthly/seasonal basis to help better assort for future seasons
  • Coordinate with Global Marketing to make sure designs are adoptable, costs are measured, and concepts are clearly defined; identify new product and trend opportunities to develop new products
  • Support Planning in all operational aspects of assigned product lines, delivery schedules, performance measurement, and inventory management on a style and category level
  • Analyze sales reporting on a weekly basis, proactively reacting to optimize sales and minimize risks. Use reporting to develop an in depth understanding of product performance and customer base, develop action plans by category.
  • Generate, analyze, and distribute weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
  • Supports team with day-to-day activities and projects
  • Provide basic analysis of key business data and reporting, including category performance, regional, selling, and size selling to drive business
  • Coordinates with other departments on new programs and changes to inventory disposition
  • Identify data sources required to visualize service merchandise distribution supply chain performance (Lead-time, inventory, service, cost)
 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related preferred

• 3+ years of experience in merchandise development, analyzing market trends, and visualizing large

data sets in automotive preferred

• Concrete experience with automation of non-value-added tasks and data gathering

• Experience with Square, SAP and Salesforce

• Experience working with overseas teams

• Analytical ability to draw insights from unstructured data and provide fact-based recommendations

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration

• Strong collaborator, with willingness to drive change

• Experience using agile methodologies

• Process and detail orientated

• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities with a focus on root cause investigations
