The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting all aspects of the human resources function including recruiting, employee relations, compensation, benefits, organization development, HRIS, training, safety and policies and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement recruitment methods to attract top quality candidates to support the achievement of company goals and business strategy.
· Review, update and maintain policies affecting personnel, and consult/advise on interpretation and administration.
· Update the employee handbook and respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs.
· Administer all HR programs such as benefits, compensation, performance management, training, and safety.
· With management team conduct employee disciplinary action process including incident report documentation, performance improvement plans, and terminations in accordance with company policy.
· Development and update compensation programs by participating in external surveys as needed.
· Orchestrate the performance management process resulting in performance reviews and merit plans on an annual basis.
· Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on required actions.
· Assists with legal responses (MCAD/DOL/DUA) to minimize unfavorable determinations and related expenses when applicable.
· Manage the worker's compensation insurance process from incident reporting to return to work practices for lost time occurrences for all work-related claims.
· Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employee voluntary termination.
