Description

The Finance Director is a "One-Stop" finance leader for the commercial operating teams (Sales, Marketing, Aftersales). This position will participate in strategic and business planning processes to provide input into each business unit planning.

RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES:

  • Provide business planning with advanced financial analysis, reporting, and strategic planning, including preparation of qualitative and quantitative financial models.
  • Prepare and distribute financial analysis of pertinent information to evaluate progress against strategic plans, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Interpret and distribute financial results with business managers, including trends, issues, and opportunities to drive actionable responses.
  • Evaluate and monitor monthly progress against budgets and targets, and work with managers to ensure accountability.
  • Perform financial analysis that aid in decision-making processes to improve profitability.
  • Gather, consolidate, and analyze operating and financial results for the MIS statements, including preparing internal and external reporting deliverables, analyzing trends & drivers, and explaining forecast vs. actual variances.
  • Contribute meaningfully to quarterly forecast and budget planning cycles, including coordinating with all stakeholders, providing corporate inputs, and preparing relevant deliverables.
  • Mentor the Financial Analyst, Accountant & Purchasing members on engagements to ensure delivery of accurate and timely financial information, in addition to the staff member’s overall success and professional development.
  • Work with the Sales and Consumer Finance, Marketing teams to develop cost effective sales incentive, sales promotion & advertising programs.
 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years experience in finance analysis/budgeting/forecasting
  • Automotive OEM experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Entrepreneurial and business ownership experience a plus
  • Above average analytical & problem solving skills
  • Above average excel skills and ability to analyze large amounts of data
  • Above average PowerPoint presentation skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Financial modeling required
