Description

The Data Analyst position will support Logistics department areas of parts logistics, finished vehicle logistics in areas of spend analysis, KPI reporting. The Analyst will be the primary contact within the organization for the reporting and analysis of overall sales data, pricing data, basic data pulls and ad-hoc projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES:

  • Create in-depth analyses, tools and dashboard to internal and external requests, support decision making at all levels within the organization.
  • Previous startup experience or experience as part of a team with daily/weekly changes and ability to keep track of these through communication over weekly meetings.
  • Presents and reports to cross departmental stakeholders, refining and enhancing reports with end users of data.
  • Stay up to date on current innovations and technologies in the supply chain industry
  • Facilitate the deployment of new and changed processes to provide improved results.
  • Develop standard procedures and policies to be followed by the employees.
  • Drive the standardization of new processes and the implementation best practices.
  • Assist departments with the execution of approved projects.
  • Perform time studies, calculate lead-time and identify non-value added activities.
  • Develop Excel and Power BI models for data analysis and reports
  • Analyze or interpret logistics data involving customer service, forecasting, procurement, manufacturing, inventory, transportation, or warehousing
  • Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Conduct logistics studies or analyses, such as time studies, zero-base analyses, rate analyses.
 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics, computer science or equivalent
  • 2 years of related experience (including data mining, data mapping and data warehousing)
  • Usage of data visualization language ie. Tableu, Looker, etc. Knowledge of power BI preferred
  • Experience with (SAS, Pything, C++, Java, R a plus)
  • Experience with SAP a strong plus
  • Basic SQL knowledge
  • Power BI, Microsoft applications PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Word
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools –Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to write, speak, and present effectively and persuasively
  • Knowledge of import and export regulations of other countries is a plus
