To achieve these goals, this position is responsible for supervising the Deposit Services staff responsible for ACH daily transaction and exception processing for consumer and business, Wire Transfers, and internal and external debit transfer maintenance while optimizing operational efficiency.

 

Nature and Scope

 

This position requires effective knowledge of deposit products, services, and processes. The supervisor is responsible for ensuring daily ACH, Payroll, Wire, business online services, new business account package review, and debit bank/transfer maintenance are completed timely, accurately and in compliance with procedures, policies and applicable regulations. This position is responsible for individualized training and coaching of Electronic Deposit Services staff. The supervisor will work with the Deposit Services team and management to maintain updated and current procedures. This position will collaborate with internal teams, management, and vendors to enhance and expand deposit related systems, products, and services to deliver exceptional service and support.

 

 

Specific Accountabilities

  • Deliver exceptional member service to every member, every time by ensuring employees deliver consistently high quality service to both internal and external members that is in alignment with our Brand Culture.
  • Ensure thorough understanding of expectations and consistently exhibit Allegacy behaviors.
  • Meet or exceed established service goals.
  • Develop Electronic Deposit Services team to perform assigned tasks by providing appropriate training and coaching.
  • Perform periodic employee reviews.
  • Serve as resource for team, frontline staff, and other departments to reduce risk, resolve issues, and respond to inquiries.
  • Develop working relationships with other departments to ensure timely updates and communication to staff across the credit union.
  • Coordinate/Assist with core update testing and validation as pertains to Deposit Services.
  • Keep abreast of system changes, new technologies, and rules and regulations as required by regulators and vendors.
  • Research and recommend appropriate training for staff.
  • Coordinate projects, guide implementation, develop testing plan, and document/update procedures for updates and new systems.
  • Gather and consolidate various statistical data required for management reporting relating to Electronic Deposit Services.
  • Work with management to establish and administer short and long term goals, objectives, policies and procedures.
  • Review and analyze current policies and procedures that impact processing and vendor relationships. Design and recommend changes as appropriate to improve operational efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the organization.
 
Position Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient knowledge of core and ancillary systems.
  • Working knowledge of applicable regulations.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills. Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment, maintain confidentiality, exhibit excellent organizational skills and attention to details.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment, employee development and performance management skills.
  • Excel/Word/Outlook skills are required.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
  • 3 years banking experience, with at least 2 years in Deposit Services preferred.
  • 1 to 2 or more years of management experience in a credit union environment or equivalent combination of education, experience, and management experience.
