Analyst – Transportation Logistics

The TransportationAnalyst will be responsible for the administration of Inbound/Outbound transportation & Parts Distribution Center (PDC) operations for Vinfast parts and accessories functions. Role will be responsible for administering the timely delivery of goods to stores, PDC and ports, utilizing partner carriers. The position will also identify and resolve operational issues & support the execution and evolution of a packaging strategy for existing components, new product introductions, cost savings, or other supply chain improvement measures.


  • Administer PDC operations, carrier delivery performance and service improvements in accordance with department KPIs/initiatives
  • Resolve all operational issues, including equipment availability, miss-sort, shortages, and late deliveries
  • Maintain direct and daily communications with Carriers & PDC
  • Lead improvement initiatives with Carriers & PDC
  • Supports new package development and testing
  • Assist Manager in developing short and long term planning strategies for cost reduction, and process improvements
  • Manage the development of shipment policies and procedures to support shipments to stores, PDCs and Port facilities based on department initiatives/objectives
  • Manage and control all freight expenses in accordance with department KPIs/objectives
  • Monitor KPIs and provide direction to meet department & Company objectives.
  • Support any ad-hoc requests for analysis, information, special projects, or additional tasks.
  • Participate in the design, testing, and implementation of short and long term system enhancements.
  • Generate daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual KPI reports, presentations, and other executive summaries.
  • Utilize TMS and SAP system for reporting and monitoring transportation performance. Transportation carrier contract entry and maintenance in TMS system.

Reporting & Analytics

    • Review Carrier On-time performance reports and work with carrier on any service improvements needed.
    • Prepare and analyze monthly carrier & PDC operational cost reports for department review
    • Prepare Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Project Reporting as required to monitor and track KPIs and Project status
Position Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent preferred
  • 2-4 plus years of work experience in supply chain operational & packaging roles
  • Must have strong understanding of transportation and logistics industry
  • Attention to detail and good quantitative skills are required
  • Experience with network analysis is highly desirable
  • Strong experience and TMS knowledge a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with all levels of management
  • Ability to work with all levels of staff and management as a self-starter and in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organize own work and projects with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools –Word, Excel, PowerPoint
