Description

The VP of Charging will make VinFast US the first OEM on the market to offer a 360 degree suite of charging services for its customers, from home and apartment to store and public charging. The responsibility of the VP of Charging is to remove all charging obstacles and barriers for any customer.

RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES:

  • Recruitment, leadership, direction, and management of the EV Services team
  • Development, implementation, & management of end-to-end vehicle recharging strategy including destination/public, home, showrooms & service centers, EV charging operation model, charging service policy and procedures
  • Establishment of partnerships with Charge Point Operators to facilitate VinFast’s Mobility Operator role
  • Identify and operate the charging service activities and deliver a competitive and premium charging service to the Vinfast’s customers.
  • Growth of charging business revenue streams as a Mobility Operator
  • Development of service center plans while adhering to designs & standards, including visual management, process, staffing
  • Strong cross functional collaboration with Technical Services team in the fields of Training & Connected Services
  • Development of market readiness plan to ensure smooth VinFast launch
  • Ongoing communication with the VinFast executive team to collaborate on various operational activities, goals, and objectives
  • Management and forecasting of budget involved with EV Services Department
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 8-10 years of building direct service models involving internal operations and external partners that deliver great user experience
  • 3 – 5+ years working in a leadership role
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Global, ex-pat, start-up, and/or direct experience in the automotive/EV space preferred but not necessary
  • Experience working across a global organization with cross-functional teams whose resources are in multiple time zones
  • Deep technical knowledge of vehicle architecture and experience establishing requirements, building process, and coaching teams to stretch goals
  • Proven track record of success in effectively leveraging external capital resources
  • Leadership experience implementing internal controls and maintaining full regulatory compliance
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated leadership and team building skills
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to deal well with modifications and changes to operating plans. Can implement new strategies and tactics to accommodate these changes
  • Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize, and manage shifting responsibilities in a dynamic, cross-functional teamwork environment
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project Management)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation
