JOB SUMMARY:

The Accountant is a key member of the Finance team that will assist in all areas of bookkeeping, A/R, A/P, and purchasing. This role will also support the month-end closing process, and the preparation of financial and ad hoc reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES:

  • Review, post invoices and arrange payments for vendors/landlords/financial institutions
  • Process and post daily credit card, check, cash deposits
  • Conduct regular general ledger maintenance and propose entries with supporting documentation/schedule as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely bookkeeping and reconciliation of accounts/schedules
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards (i.e. GAAP), rules, regulations, and systems of internal control
  • Assist with monthly closing, tax returns and audits
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement improvements to processes
  • Performing other duties, when required and as assign
 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3-5 years of progressive work experience in GL/AR/AP
  • Accounting knowledge & experiences of automotive stores is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize appropriately and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience with fast growing startup is a plus
  • Strong foundation and understanding of GAAP
  • Detail-oriented, organized, resourceful, and able to manage shifting priorities
