JOB SUMMARY:

The Public Network Charging Manager is the crucial point of coordination for the VinFast US charging team. This role is responsible for developing business partnerships, overseeing financial tasks, and executing agreements, while will assisting with questions and requests related to all the public facing charging for our customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES:

  • Oversee a Public Charging experience constantly strive to improve systems and user experiences while developing a charging product that is second to none in the marketplace
  • To develop and implement value added services/business relationships that enhance the VinFast Public Charging experience  
  • Maintain network interoperability across the United States and collaborate with teammates (as well as vendors) to lead and own, interoperability issues - all the way from root cause to implemented solution
  • Ensure validation of charging interoperability with various charging networks and service providers
  • Develop a partner network and improve those relationships over time
  • Maintain the charge point network partnerships, installer vendors, EVSE suppliers, and ChargePoint operators across the United States
  • Possesses a clear understanding of all ISO 15118-2 standards and protocols along with Plug and Charge
  • Creates solutions to current public charging market challenges facing customers
  • Support operational aspects of the wider charging team including payment, logistics and systems
  • Create innovate new ways to inspire range confidence in Vinfast US clients
  • Develop relationships with ChargePoint Operators
  • Secure Agreements with ChargePoint Operators to provide a comprehensive network for owners
  • Design cost effective solutions for deploying Vinfast level 2 public charging infrastructure
  • Respond to charging requests from vendors and service operations
  • Work with cross-functional team members to deliver supporting documentation on time
  • Attend internal and external meetings and serve as a technical resource to other Engineers, Designers, Estimators, and Project Managers
  • Develop program requirements, standard operating procedures, installation guidelines and design reports that provide cost efficiencies and oversight into deployments
  • Develop and maintain administrative processes that reduce redundancy and improve accuracy, while achieving organizational objectives
  • Assist in RFI, RFP, and RFQ responses as necessary
  • Responsible for design coordination with leadership that design documents meet project scope requirements
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 2-3 years’ of progressively responsible EV Public Charging experience focused on backend systems Infrastructure development oversight and CPO to OEM relationship development.  
  • 2 years at the Manager level with an OEM or CPO specifically focusing on Public Charging activities
  • Contract management experience required
  • Excellent communication, management, collaboration, and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to solve problems, manage multiple projects under strict deadlines
  • Anticipate needs and be proactive with solutions
  • Knowledge and understanding of charging and energy technology
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
  • Customer-first approach with a relentless passion provide the best solutions to our customers
  • Understanding of energy management protocols and hardware
  • Proficiency with MS Office Additional Requirements
  • Must be willing to travel both domestically, as well as internationally, as required
  • Experience in a start-up environment is a plus
