Summary: Assurety Consulting, a leader in the postal/parcel ecosystem, seeks highly qualified applicants for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Automation) position. This is a full-time position in Washington, D.C., with a hybrid working opportunity 2-3 days a week. This position requires a US Government security clearance and either US Citizenship or a Green Card.
Qualified individuals will be highly independent and motivated, and specialists in complex technical and business matters. Our Senior QA Automation Engineers collaborate with requirements analysts, business analysts, clients, IT developers, system engineers and the PMO to ensure consistency and accuracy in every software release.
Conditions of Employment (REQUIRED):
- US Citizenship or Green Card.
- The position requires security clearance.
- Bachelor’s Degree / Technical Degree (Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration).
- 3+ years in QA Automation.
- 3+ years of analysis, evaluation, and user needs identification.
- 2+ years of experience leading automation scripting, complex data-driven testing workstreams and conducting API testing.
- Problem-solving and consultant-like skills to recognize, analyze and respond to business and technical problems.
- Excellent written and verbal skills (English).
- Experience in automation testing and UFT VB Scripting.
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision for day-to-day tasks.
- Organized and attentive to details.
Preferred Applicant Characteristics:
- 2+ years leading testing activities including some technical APIs and data.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders related to integration management and risk management.
- Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables) and Programming Languages (SQL, R, Python, Tableau, JavaScript, C#)
General Job Duties:
- Recognize client organization’s mission, and with limited direction, ensure all products and services meet company and client standards and end-user requirements for multiple projects.
- Analyze and develop business and system requirements to design and test automation plans and scripts, set up test environments, and prepare complex data sets to test logic, error handling, and workflows. Thoroughly test software to ensure proper operation and zero defects analyze results and ensure software releases are bug-free.
- Automate B2B data-driven functional and business transaction testing and provide software automation testing.
- Implement complex data, API, and automation-driven strategies and cut QA costs of old and new application functionalities.

- Report progress on problem resolution to management, devise improvements to current procedures and develop models of possible future configurations.
- Perform workflow analysis and recommend quality improvements.
- Implement system and application changes that sustain client revenues and improve accounts receivable, workflow automation, revenue assurance systems and applications.
- Manage the workload and communicate progress in daily meetings and weekly reports to the client.
