Description

The Accounting Associate will assist the Finance and Accounting Department with accounting and booking keeping functions, such as preparing invoices, managing vendor/client accounts, and other clerical activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES:

  • Organize and prepare financial reports
  • Assist with tax returns and audits
  • Review financial statements for inaccuracies and monitor financial activity
  • Process and manage Purchase Requests (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO) in the SAP system
  • Manage and track all payments
  • Prepare vendor invoices and monitor expenses with clients/external partners
  • Support Finance and Accounting Department with daily tasks
  • Responsible for any projects or other tasks assigned by the Manager
  • Support internal departments and individual employees on processing invoices and reimbursements
 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 2-4 years of progressive work experience in a publicly traded company with SOX compliance
  • 1-2 years of experience with Finance and/or Accounting
  • Strong foundation and understanding of GAAP
  • Detail-oriented, organized, resourceful, and able to manage shifting priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g. VBA, Macros, advanced formulas)
  • Experience with QuickBooks and SAP is a plus
