AIG - Operations Manager 

Description

Responsible for developing and managing the operational aspects of a financial planning group overseeing the overall office management including the marketing initiatives. Supervises all assistants including Registered Financial Assistants. Candidate must be able to maintain operational management responsibilities, be able to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast paced, ever-changing environment, and contribute as a team member for the growth of the credit union.

Works with either the Program Manager (PM) or the Associate Program Manager (APM) to coordinate and monitor the development, production and review of marketing. Tracks project budgets and timelines from job start through project completion; and ensures all deadlines are met. Works closely with internal and external partners to ensure that materials are compliant. Coordinates the print and fulfillment requirements and timely delivery of materials.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manage, develop, and implement operational efficiencies while ensuring team activities fall within broker-dealer/RIA compliance guidelines and Allegacy standards.
  • Works with PM to prepare annual department budget and monitor budget vs. actual numbers. Approve all budgeted expenditures to ensure they fall within budget guidelines.
  • Track marketing budget for Allegacy Investment Group. Monitor the effectiveness of marketing strategies and implement and maintain a tracking process to hold Financial Advisors and teams accountable for marketing results.
  • Identify, develop and implement opportunities and tools needed for improved efficiencies, expense reductions and increased sales opportunities for program by working with the credit union, the CUSO and collaborating with other programs and the broker-dealer.
  • Work with the Program Manager and the marketing specialist to develop program and team marketing strategies to align with the long range plan. Create interest, develop business and promote brand recognition. (Includes approving copy for various marketing mediums, provide direction to MCIF analyst for demographic targets and educating program on opportunities, work with teams and graphic designer/marketing to create materials to increase brand awareness and promote business).
  • Manage overall office operations (interview administrative new hires, approve HRIS system, and prepare monthly payroll).
 
Position Requirements

EDUCATION – Bachelor’s degree required.

EXPERIENCE – Minimum of 5 years-experience in financial planning and/or operations management experience.

SKILLS – Excellent written and oral communication skills, people/public relations skills, essential decision and problem solving skills, effective organizational skills, computer literacy and ability to understand and effectively explain investment features and benefits.

  • Knowledge of the marketing production, fulfillment and print process.
  • Ability to work in a deadline driven environment with a willingness to be part of a fast- paced dynamic team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects, tasks, and partners/vendors simultaneously.
  • Must be detailed oriented and focused on accuracy.
