The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures furthers the understanding, celebration, and preservation of cinema through inclusive and accessible exhibitions, screenings, programs, initiatives, and collections. Welcoming visitors from Los Angeles and around the world, the Museum works in active partnership with motion picture artists and specialists, scholars, staff, and diverse communities to contextualize and challenge dominant narratives around cinema, inspiring discourse, connection, joy, and discovery.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Corporate Partnerships, the ideal candidate will be comfortable being both donor-facing and process oriented, ensuring objectives are successfully met with the appropriate level of care and attention to detail. The role will focus on full-cycle Corporate Partnerships with ownership of the Corporate Membership program.

 

You Will:

  • Oversee Corporate Membership efforts, helping to create policies, procedures, materials, workflows, and ultimately ensuring new Corporate Members have a welcoming onboarding experience and smooth inaugural year.
  • Be responsible for securing additional Corporate Members both by developing new prospects and closing existing ones, renewing current relationships, and helping to define and build the membership program culture and experience.
  • Manage a portfolio of existing and potential Corporate Partners that may or may not be Corporate Members. This includes researching, developing, and executing prospecting strategies to increase growth and tracking and executing deliverables.
  • Own the overall Corporate Partnership and Membership administration process including management and creation of materials, reports, process, deliverables, and ensuring the proper recording and acknowledgement of gifts.
  • Liaise internally and externally (working cross-functionally) to make sure contractual obligations are understood and executed at the highest caliber.
  • Project manage Corporate Partnership and Advancement initiatives including materials creation, event management, and activations with the ability to create timelines, advance the project, and provide wrap reports.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to determine strategies, priorities, and goals.
  • Maintain data integrity though proactive analysis and problem resolution
 
Position Requirements

You Have:

  • 5+ years year in nonprofit or for-profit Partnerships/Sponsorships, Integrated Marketing, and/or Fundraising. Including direct experience working with notable brands.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills as well as the ability to work with numerous and diverse populations. Must have a strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording, tracking, and issuing information.
  • Outstanding organizational skills including self-management of duties and ability to set priorities. Must be proactive and flexible with the ability to anticipate needs.
  • Ability to discern relevant facts in problem solving.
  • Ability to work extended hours, early mornings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Understanding of theory and application in using a relational database such as Salesforce.
  • Knowledge of museum operations, event planning, graphic design, and/or film a plus.
