Responsible for investigation and analysis of financial condition of commercial borrowers.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Prepare Credit Approval Memorandums consisting of thorough analysis of new and renewing commercial loans for presentation to appropriate credit approval authority;
Prepare financial spreadsheets for analysis of financial statements and tax returns;
Provide recommendations regarding loan structure;
Analyze and make recommendations to management regarding credit issues;
Communicate with borrowers, accountants, management and bank staff as needed for credit investigations;
Make recommendations for appropriate risk ratings;
Provide analysis and review of existing commercial loans;
Provide technical advice and assistance to loan officers and other bank personnel as needed;
Produce Reports as required for management, loan officers, and/or committees;
Portfolio Management Responsibilities
Review commercial appraisals for compliance and accuracy;
Is aware of and complies with CRA/HMDA Guidelines/Flood Insurance/Appraisal Regulations and adheres to Bank policies and procedures on such issues.
Is aware of and complies with regulatory guidelines and policies as well as the bank's policies and procedures
Complete special projects/duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
B.A. in Accounting or related subject or equivalent work experience with financial, accounting and/or business emphasis. Three years of relevant work experience in a banking or related field. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Familiar with Lending Platforms such as Sageworks, Moody's, etc. Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills
