Position Title: Job Developer

Organization: Jewish Family Service of San Diego

Position Type: Full-time (37.5 hours per week), non-exempt,

Hybrid: 80% in office, 20% remote

Pay Rate: $20/hour

In addition to standard pay, compensation for this position includes:

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for initiating and maintaining ongoing personal contacts with a variety of business, industry representatives, and job placement/training agencies to develop job opportunities.
  • The job developer will focus on marketing clients to and creating meaningful relationships with local employers and utilizing these relationships to secure quality job placements for refugee clients.
 
Position Requirements

Skills/Abilities that are a Must-Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent in experience, Marketing/Business degree preferred
  • Openness to working with individuals from around the world in a respectful, culturally-sensitive manner
  • Experience working or volunteering with individuals with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
  • Marketing and sales work experience preferred
  • Knowledge of the methods and techniques of job development and client placement
  • Ability to effectively use existing marketing materials and create new materials as needed
  • Basic typing and computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Valid California Driver’s License and operating vehicle with insurance required
