Description

Augusta University Health Imaging is looking for an energetic, conscientious, & detail-oriented PRN Business Office Specialist.  This role performs all forms of office support including, but not limited to, answering multiple phone lines, patient scheduling, pre-authorization, and patient coordination.  Medical office scheduling/registration experience desired.  Excellent customer service skills required.  Competitive pay & benefits.  Pre-employment drug & background screen required.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Greet and register patients as they enter Augusta University Health Imaging

Serve as a liaison between all customers, including patients, physicians, and imaging center staff

Handle phone calls, schedule appointments, and obtain orders

Ensure optimal customer service

Facilitate resolution of referral and authorization issues for patients to ensure insurance payment

Qualifications:

1-3 years medical office scheduling, insurance and/or registration experience, required

Excellent customer service skills

Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, preferred

Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Position Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
