OUR MISSION: To help everyone achieve their personal best by providing the finest aquatic educational, competitive, therapeutic and recreational programs.   Description Position Summary: Under guidance of Customer Service and ProShop Manager, the ProShop Sales Associate is responsible for providing outstanding customer service, completing sales transactions and maintaining the presentation of the sales floor, products, signage, and displays. General Responsibilities: Greeting customers, responding to questions, improving engagement with merchandise and providing outstanding customer service. Operating cash registers, managing financial transactions, and balancing drawers. Achieving established goals. Directing customers to merchandise within the store. Increasing in store sales. Superior product knowledge. Maintaining an orderly appearance throughout the sales floor. Introducing promotions and opportunities to customers. Cross-selling products to increase purchase amounts Perform other related duties as assigned   Position Requirements Preferred Qualifications: Work experience in customer service, retail or a comparable work environment Working Conditions: Work is generally performed in a temperature-controlled environment although position requires knowledge of and familiarity with support areas. Some outdoor work is required involving potentially inclement weather conditions. Position requires regular contact with the public. Must be able to work under pressure, exercise sound judgment, and adhere to deadlines. Physical Abilities: Examples include: Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling light objects Sitting or standing for extended periods of time Seeing to review and/or input information Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person and on the telephone Bending at the waist, kneeling, or crouching Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard FLSA Status: This classification is non-exempt from FLSA requirements.
