Description

Position Summary: Under general guidance from the Chief Operations Officer, the Customer Service and Pro Shop Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the front desk customer service operations, and onsite and online retail store.

The position provides administrative oversight for the following areas: front desk, customer service and pro shop. This position provides direct supervision to hourly employees, as well as oversees the management of department budgets.

General Responsibilities:

  • Customer Services and Front Desk Operations Coordinate daily operations of the front desk, all points of sale, cash handling, facility use and program registration and software(s)
  • Coordinate access and entry logistics for programs, events and rentals occurring at the RBAC
  • Develop and implement customer service program that ensures patrons expectations are met and exceeded
  • Assist with budget development, income and expense projections, budget monitoring, and adherence to budget
  • Recruit, hire, train, schedule, supervise and evaluate customer service staff; Pro Shop
  • Coordinate daily operations of the onsite and online Pro Shop, all points of sale, cash handling, inventory management, and performance assessments

  • Perform other related duties as assigned
 
Position Requirements

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible professional work experience in customer service, retail or a comparable work environment including administrative duties, supervision, budget management, program support, and technology

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ActiveNet POS or other recreational facility membership/access/facility management software, Square or Square for Retail

Knowledge, Abilities and/or Skills:

  • General knowledge of assessment and marketing methods
  • Working knowledge of the principles of effective supervision, as well as the ability to plan and direct the work of professional, skilled and semi-skilled staff
  • Collect, analyze and evaluate data and make verbal and/or written presentations
  • Demonstrate understanding and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Create and implement ideas to develop and promote facilities and services
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with patrons, and private and public agencies
  • Clearly express ideas and directions verbally and in writing
  • Analyze complex situations accurately and adopt effective courses of action ? Develop, manage and adhere to operational budgets
  • Ability to develop and conduct workshops and training programs

Working Conditions:

Work is generally performed in a temperature-controlled office environment although position requires knowledge of and familiarity with support areas. Some outdoor work is required involving potentially inclement weather conditions. Some travel required. Position requires regular contact with the public. Must be able to work under pressure, exercise sound judgment, and adhere to deadlines.

Physical Abilities:

  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling light objects
  • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time
  • Seeing to review and/or input information
  • Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person and on the telephone
  • Bending at the waist, kneeling, or crouching
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard

Supervision Exercised:

This position supervises hourly positions as well as part-time employees.

FLSA Status: This classification is exempt from FLSA requirements.

Work Schedule: Full-Time; 12 months

Anticipated Salary Range (Annually): $58,250 – $70,000
