Position Service Specialist  
Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Shelter Support Specialists to provide critical support services to homeless adults. The Specialist will be responsible for offering service coordination, and promoting positive life change through a client-centered approach. This role plays a vital part in helping individuals achieve stability and independence while staying aligned with the mission and values of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service Coordination: Connect clients with community resources such as housing, healthcare, employment opportunities, and mental health services to support their long-term success and stability.
  • Client Engagement: Build positive, trusting relationships with clients and assist them in developing personalized action plans aimed at achieving stability and independence.
  • Crisis Management: Respond to immediate crises with empathy, de-escalation skills, and timely intervention to ensure safety and well-being.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate case files, track client progress, and ensure compliance with program guidelines and reporting requirements.
  • Mission Alignment: Ensure all interactions with clients are in line with the organization’s mission, providing services in a respectful, dignified, and non-judgmental manner.

Pay rate: $15.00/hour + full benefits! 

Available Shifts:   

         Full time, Mon-Fri- 3pm-11:30pm

         Part-time, weekends (7a-7p)

         Part-time, weekends (7p-7a)

     

 
Position Requirements
  • HS diploma/GED required.

As a healthcare provider, Southeast Healthcare is a non-smoking employer.  Staff members are required to be vaccinated for the flu (medical and religious exemptions may be requested during the hiring process).
