This person functions as a peer support and provides targeted resources needed to be more vocationally successful. The Peer Specialist is a person who has a unique perspective of serious mental illness because of his/her own experience with the recovery processes of psychiatric disorder(s). This experience enables an understanding of client struggles with mental illness and provides them with unique sensitivity to client issues.   Position Requirements HS Diploma/GED required.  Certified Peer Recovery Supporter required.   We are a healthcare facility and as such we require that our new employees are fully vaccinated (both COVID and FLU).
