Position Supply Chain Manager - Contingent Upon Task Order Award  
Description

SUMMARY: Responsible for managing the execution of Supply Chain Tasks. Collaborate with multiple-functional managers to plan and execute on the development of a distribution center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages and monitors vendors such as FedEx, UPS, or DoD Transportation Protective Services approved carrier qualification and performance to ensure they meet company's requirements.
  • Provide shipping tracking numbers to the CRC PMO through e-mail for each transaction.
  • Maintain all GFP, including Government Furnished Information (GFI), Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), and Government Furnished Material (GFM) in its possession.
  • Identify TYQ-23A items in an inventory excess position, items identified as having exceeded their shelf/service life, and/or obsolete item candidates to the CRC PMO for disposal.
  • Maintain pipeline spares to replace failed assets in the field. Replenish spares if failure rates are higher than anticipated and items are out of warranty.
  • Prepare the Readiness Spares Package List; Recommended Pipeline Spares List; Spares Usage Reporting.
  • Utilize Parts Management/DMSMS to ensure that systems remain fully operational and supportable given the challenges associated with COTS utilization.
  • Provide an obsolescence report that details the status of the equipment.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. NAC-1 background check is required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma and 10 years’ experience with military supply systems including parts requisition and item identification. Experience with automated information systems such as GCSS-Army and research programs such as LIW. Military Supply Course Instruction is a plus.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Management of resources.
  • Analyze data and/or information.
  • Forecast part usage rate.
  • Excellent team attitude.
  • Must be self-directed and have the ability to work independently without supervision.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time. Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach. Able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Typical office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
