Assistant Program Manager for Test & Evaluation 

Description
  • Applies experience in Naval Flight Testing sufficient to properly represent the NAVAIR T&E competency and advise the Program Manager on any T&E subject. 
  • Applies experience and sufficient knowledge of NAVAIR T&E policies and instructions and how they apply policies and instructions to an acquisition strategy, Capabilities Documents, and a Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP). 
  • Chairs large working groups and maintains test schedule. 
  • Monitors and tracks test metrics and verifies system performance against requirements. 
  • Identifies areas of risk, concern, and/or disconnect between developmental test, engineering, logistics, and operational test communities. 
  • Provides status reports and responds to data calls as required by the program APMT&E.
  • Applies experience in solving complex flight test issues.
 
Position Requirements

Bachelors in an engineering discipline. 3 years relevant Naval flight test experience including knowledge of NAVAIR T&E policies and instructions and their application to an acquisition strategy. Previous flight test experience supporting US Navy / US Marine Corps acquisition and development efforts, including those involving complex T&E of hardware and/or software related to engineering or functional requirements of military aircraft and weapon systems. Understanding of NAVAIR and AIR-5.1 T&E processes, including Test Planning and Test Reporting; and use of tools such as iTest, Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS), Master Objectives Matrix (MOM), etc. Familiarity with NAVAIR risk management processes.
