REACH Residential Services Manager I or II 

Description

The Richmond Behavioral Health Authority is seekend a qualified and talented Residential Program Manager I or II to support our REACH Program in our Developmental Services Divison. This indivual will perform difficult administrative work planning, organizing, directing and supervising the activities/functions of staff; providing guidance and/or developing logical processes to implement quality improvement actions that ensure required documentation in the individual medical records are in compliance with laws, regulatory, HIPAA, Human Rights and Authority standards; Ensures adequate staffing and training of all REACH / DS homes providing 24/7 services to individuals. Provides clinical oversight of the REACH homes to ensure clinically appropriate services are being consistently implemented. Collaborates closely with REACH Quality Unit around billing to help maximize billing. Work is performed under the general direction of the REACH Director. Responsible for the implementation of REACH and Transitional Home services and supports.

Provides clinical and administrative supervision to the REACH and Transitional Home Supervisors.

Coordinates with REACH leadership statewide surrounding admissions into the REACH and/or Transitional Home.

Ensures that day programming for all participants at the REACH CTH and Transitional Homes are structured, evidence-based and clinically appropriate.

Supports transition planning for individuals utilizing REACH CTH and Transitional Home services.

Provides direct supervision to the Transitional Home Community Integration Specialist(s) to ensure that discharge process remains on track and that barriers to discharge planning are clearly/closely communicated to REACH Director, Developmental Service Directors and DBHDS, in order to help leverage resources as needed.

Maintains linkages and relationships with community partners.

Attends all required meetings with Team Members, REACH Director, and clinical staff.

Assists in ensuring all necessary training and resources are available for the REACH and Transitional Homes.

Ensures accuracy and reporting of required data elements in accordance with designated timelines.

Oversees the maintenance of all REACH and Transitional Homes.

Demonstrates strong knowledge and understanding of all licensing and agency requirements.

Ensures all REACH and Transitional Home sites meet licensing regulations regarding safety and health guidelines.

Supervises or participates in special projects as needed.

Develops on-call schedule for the REACH CTH and Transitional Homes.

Participates in on-call schedule as designated for the REACH CTH and Transitional Homes.

Performs related work as required.

 

 
Position Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Thorough knowledge of the fundamentals of human psychological and social development, psychotherapeutic treatment techniques/modalities, assessment and evaluation of behavioral health disabilities, Authority, regulatory, reimbursement standards; ability to assume the role of lead worker responsibilities; ability to collect, interpret and utilize treatment data; ability to manage and work effectively/professionally with consumers, families and other providers while serving the best interest of the service delivery system, advance practices and procedures with regard to safety of consumer/employees, legal parameters, political sensitivities and resource allocation/availability; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with consumers, family/significant others, community service providers and the general public.

 

Education and Experience

Master’s degree with coursework in social work, psychology, psychiatric rehabilitation, sociology, counseling, vocational rehabilitation, human services counseling or related field; preference for licensed mental health professionals. Extensive experience in residential services required.

 

Special Requirements

Valid driver's license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Starting Salary Range Salary is negotiable depending on experiene and qualifications.
