All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.   Description General Purpose The Laboratory Instructor responsibilities will include day-to-day on-site operation of the clinical skills and simulation labs, as well as ensuring that all setup and preparation procedures are completed for scheduled sessions. The Laboratory Instructor will also be responsible for the scheduling and preparation of the simulation and skills sessions as well as the tear-down and restoration of equipment used in scheduled sessions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Competent advanced use of simulation and clinical lab equipment including basic and advanced troubleshooting Monitoring and oversite of simulation sessions; Assists faculty as on-site program representative for troubleshooting of equipment Monitor the daily operations of the center and ensures communication of additional needs to the Director of the Laboratory Collaborate with IT for support and software issues related to simulation events Prepare and set up materials for the on-site implementation of clinical skills activities and simulation educational sessions Participate in inventory control and maintenance processes Participate in simulation session/scenario building and checking prior to the event Assist in simulation and clinical skills activities, which includes, set-up, tear-down and clean-up of on-site lab spaces Monitors and operates simulation technology during simulation and skills events Monitor the daily on-site operation of the multidisciplinary lab and ensure communication of needs and issues to the Director of the Lab Participate in special projects and events as assigned Perform other duties in the laboratory as assigned.   Position Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in nursing required, Bachelor of Science degree preferred. A minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse required; experience with clinical skills and simulation laboratories preferred. Physical Assessment experience preferred.
