Share Email Opening Title 031 Assistant Marketing Director  Location Leech Lake Gaming   Description POSITION SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for assisting in the developing and implementing of comprehensive marketing plans and overall marketing components. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS RESPONSIBILITIES: Has the ability to perform all functions of supervised positions. Supervises Player Development Managers, Database Supervisor, Entertainment Coordinators, Event Sales Representative, Digital Media Coordinator, Busing Coordinator & Call Center Representatives. Assist Marketing Director with developing and implementing yearly marketing and promotional plans. Meet with marketing team and other managers on a regular basis to discuss and develop casino, hotel, food & beverage, VIP and other promotions & events. Preparation of promotional concepts and budgets. Assist with development of strategies that maximize hotel occupancies and event center bookings. Monitor implementation of promotions and special events. Assists with development of Casino Host program. Responsible for promotional rules, monthly On Hold copy, and copy for employee information cards. Creating monthly social media, text blasts and digital monitor advertising schedules. Evaluate profitability of promotions and events. Assist with ensuring that spending is within approved budgets. Work off sight events. Monitor websites and digital signage to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Prepares monthly and quarterly summaries of what competing casinos will be doing. Makes recommendations that will make the casino properties a leader in the industry. Maintains knowledge of all events at all properties. Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training. Maintains confidentiality at all times. Is sensitive to Native American Culture. Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations. Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe. Performs other duties as assigned.   Position Requirements KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of Gaming Personnel Policy/Procedures, Federal, Tribal and contract regulations and Internal Controls. Must have strong communication and organizational skills. Must have ability to work well with others. Must possess good written communication skills. Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays & weekends. Ability to lead, mentor and develop team members. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to negotiate conflict effectively. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Physically capable of sitting for long periods of time. Subject to internal working conditions, including a smoking environment. EDUCATION AND SKILLS Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations or a related field. Education Preferred: Master’s Degree. Experience: 5 years casino marketing experience and 2 years management/supervisory experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered as a substitute for degree requirement.
