POSITION SUMMARY

JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for assisting the Marketing Director and Assistant Marketing Director with developing and implementing direct mail campaigns in an effort to increase revenue. Also responsible for the overall management of the Player Tracking Database, as well as the creation and analysis of marketing reports.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Has the ability to perform all functions of supervised positions.
  2. Executes all direct mail and e-mail campaigns.
  3. Responsible for creating logical and profitable tiers within the database for direct mail purposes.
  4. Responsible for preparation of competitive analysis, demographic reports and other reports as requested.
  5. Writes all promotional concepts.
  6. Conducts SYNKROS training as required
  7. Serves as Marketing SYNKROS main contact.
  8. Updates department MICS as required.
  9. Trains Player Development personnel in regard to the duties of the Hosts
  10. Responsible for website maintenance
  11. Responsible for Database maintenance and clean-up
  12. Completes multiple complex tasks in a timely manner.
  13. Oversees Data mining.
  14. Cross-trains Marketing Department staff in database analysis.
  15. Creates and maintains appropriate filing system.
  16. Responsible for thorough management of marketing focused databases.
  17. Develops programs that expand casino databases and target designated markets.
  18. Delegates work effectively, supervises and schedules the Marketing Database Associates in order to accomplish Marketing objectives
  19. Responsible for the ordering of all SYNKROS/IT Marketing related items
  20. Follows all guidelines of approved internal controls.
  21. Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole.
  22. Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training.
  23. Maintains confidentiality at all times.
  24. Is sensitive to Native American Culture.
  25. Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations.
  26. Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
  27. Performs other duties as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Must have advanced knowledge of player development, experience with player tracking systems, SYNKROS and SYNKROS.
  2. Must have experience with direct mail execution and analysis
  3. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills; analytical skills
  4. Must have a strong computer background with a thorough understanding of MS Office products, especially Excel
  5. Ability to travel locally and out of state
  6. Ability to work flexible schedules including: weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Physically capable of sitting for long periods of time.
  2. Subject to internal working conditions, including a smoking environment.

EDUCATION AND SKILLS

Education Required: High School graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Experience: Must have a minimum of five (5) years database management experience, two (2) years casino marketing experience; and one (1) years supervisory or lead worker experience.

Computer Skills: Must have strong computer skills

Certificates & Licenses: Must meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check and submit to drug testing.
