Share Email Opening Title REACH Techinician  Description The Richmond Behavioral Health Authority is seeking multiple REACH Technicians for the Planned and Emergency Therapeutic Home. This position is responsible for performing clinical and direct support services as part of the  REACH Team. Responsible for providing direct 1:1 care and services to individuals between the ages of 18 and senior years with Intellectual/ Developmental Disabilities ( I/DD) and co-occurring mental or behavioral health disorders. The incumbent will assist the individual with meeting treatment goals, scheduled daily activities, groups, ADL’s, and providing de-escalation and intervention services for behavioral concerns. Services will be provided in the REACH operated Therapeutic Home. The incumbent must possess the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and work collaboratively with the individual, their guardians, support system, and the REACH Team regarding any significant events, the individual’s needs, and their response to interventions.   Position Requirements  Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in human services and at least 1 year of experience working with individuals with an intellectual and/or developmental disability and co-occurring mental illness and/or challenging behaviors.  Experience in intellectual and developmental disabilities, including programming for individuals with significant behavioral needs. Knowledge of the MH/ID/DD/SA systems. Current CPR and First-Aid certification, and knowledge of verbal interventions and non-violent crisis interventions, or ability to obtain such during orientation period. Other Requirements: Flexible work hours, to include evenings, weekends, overnights and holidays, are required.
