Actively involved in creating and sustaining a culture that delivers an “incredible customer experience” consistently.  Develops positive relationships with team members, customers, and community partners through education of the Bank’s products/ services and providing a concierge approach to delivery. Plans, develops, and directs financial policies and practices of the organization to ensure that financial objectives, goals, and institutional growth are met in accordance with policies of Board of Directors or corporate charter and government regulations by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers.  Manages and oversees staff in multiple locations with the goal of increasing and retaining deposit and loan growth.  Drives referrals within River Valley’s business through critical linkage meetings, through direct management activities and by influencing others. Responsible for oversight of sales activities and the delivery of customer service in accordance with River Valley’s Incredible Customer Experience (I.C.E.) Philosophy;  responsible for expense controls, community leadership, staff management, and meeting financial and compliance standards.  Responsible for driving achievement of River Valley Strategic Goals at the market level by developing short term goals that result in achievement of identified goals.   Ability to effectively lead in a matrix organization through the efficient exchange of information working closely with departments to collaboratively be proactive in providing solutions to issues and sharing of best practices to improve productivity and allow for quick decision making to meet exceed the expectations of our customers.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: Supports, drives, models, and develops strategies and initiatives to enhance River Valley’s Incredible Customer Experience (I.C.E.) Franchise Model. Drive referrals within River Valley’s business thru critical linkage meetings, through direct management activity and by influencing others Responsible for establishing sales goals and strategies, and periodically assessing performance against set goals. Develops and coaches the desired behaviors of the sales staff required to establish new business (generating leads, expanding the client base, and developing revenue opportunities). Directs the activities of Retail banking for a geographic area.Develops and coordinates strategies to assure business plan achievement for the retail banking area. Monitor daily operations to ensure a free flow process, and also supervise the execution of daily tasks.Works with the operations team to ensure procedures are administered and followed on a consistent basis at all locations. Uses the Bank’s systems to monitor efficiency and productivity. Works with Bank Service Managers to share Retail staff in a "team" manner across locations, contributing to the Bank’s efficiency while maintaining the appropriate level of service for a given location or market. Develop and enforce sound policies and structures for the growth of the company Create a strong workforce by developing competent individuals in the banking operations team. Create and implement long term business plan to ensure continuity of business operations in the long run. Ensure client data is protected from the public and secured against fraud by enforcing access rights and verification levels Responsible for maintaining the workflow/scheduling and performance problems/resolutions, preparation for the River Valley Employee Development System (RV EDS), determining and fulfilling training needs; in conjunction with the Human Resources Department, interviewing and recommending new hires, promotions, demotions, terminations, and salary adjustments.Directs and advises all of the areas’ Retail banking employees to effectively promote and deliver River Valley’s retail products and services. Liaison between retail staff and upper management. Coordinates activities that enhance the work environment to create a positive team atmosphere which results in meeting identified goals. Solicit new business or participate in community or service organizations. Serves as bank representative in professional, business, and community organizations to promote bank services.
