In order to achieve this state of success, this position will use a consultative approach to introduce employer benefit products that fit the needs of the organization. In addition, this position will provide a high level of service to address any new client concerns; coordinate resolution to issues and provide accurate answers to their of benefit questions.

 

Specific Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed established sales and service goals.
  • Successfully complete mentor/onboarding plan.
  • Build relationships across all business units of Allegacy Federal Credit Union in order to build knowledge base and referral networks.
  • Serve as the primary producer/client relationship specialist on accounts, negotiating and closing renewal process.
  • Attend and participate in client relationship opportunities with existing accounts to build and strengthen relationships.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell new products for existing accounts.
  • Assist VP of Sales and Account Executive where he/she sees sales opportunities within existing client base to increase our ability to retain existing clients.
  • Assist in the presentation of benefit renewals and conduct employee educational benefit meetings.
  • Acceptance of a daily changing environment where job duties may fluctuate from one day to the next
  • Ability to work within a small group setting with consistent team interaction
  • Follows-up in a timely, professional and organized manner
  • Assist in other areas of the ABS organization, as needed.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to serving the industry and local community at company sponsored events (i.e. networking events, sponsored events, races, runs, etc.)
  • Completion of all required compliance training to include BSA.

Education and Experience

  • Education Required: College Degree. 5 or more years of employer benefits experience will be considered in lieu of college degree
  • Education Preferred: College Degree with focus on Business, Insurance, or a related degree program
  • Experience Required: 2 years customer service and sales experience
  • Experience Preferred: 2-5 years in the employee benefits industry as an Account Manager, Account Executive, or similar position.
  • License/Certification Required: Life & Health License (Must be obtained in 3 months of employment) Medicare & Long Term Care License(Must be obtained during the onboarding schedule)
  • License/Certification Preferred: Active Life & Health License and Active Medicare & Long Term Care License prior to employment
