Description

This is a position of Information Assurance Officer in support of NSWC Philadelphia. Responsibilities include vulnerability and risk management, application security and infrastructure architecture reviews, and providing security consultation and research in support of communication networks and information systems. The candidate will provide information technology/information management (IT/IM) in validating IA solutions for the NSWC Philadelphia computer enclaves. Strong customer service, communications, procedure development and analytical and documenting skills.

Some of the duties will include:

  • Ensure the successful execution of all certification and accreditation activities within the assigned technical department
  • Ensure certification and accreditation support documentation packages for systems within the assigned technical department
  •  Server as a member of the Configuration Control Board for accredited information systems within the assigned technical department
  • Conduct periodic reviews to ensure compliance with the ATO and PIT Risk Approval (PRA) letters issued by the Designated Accrediting Authority (DAA)
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Department's mission and capabilities as well as the environments and resources required to support them
  • Ensure information systems are operated, used, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and practices

Minimum of two (3) years of relevant Information Assurance related experience; DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification level required.

U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain an interim and a permanent U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance required.

 

 
Position Requirements

Minimum of three (3) years relevant DoD IA related experience with direct knowledge of DoD IA Certification and Accreditation Process (DACAP)

Candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
