Share Email Opening Title Vice President, Information Technology  Description This position creates, implements and directs the credit union's strategy for information management. . Specific Accountabilities Directs information management budgeting, strategic and tactical planning, business process re-engineering and database system strategy, and records administration. Sets the overall direction of internal business systems. Explores new technologies for long term and future planning and potential implementation. Incumbent stays abreast to cutting edge technological trends in the credit union industry and beyond. Recognizes new developments in information systems technology, and anticipates organizational modifications. Identifies user needs and directs the building of MIS teams to work across all levels of the credit union, as well as functions as top level contact to assist end users in determining IS requirements and solutions. Directs the overall data processing function of the credit union. Ensures system confidentiality and reliability of corporate data, propriety information, and intellectual property. Serves as a member of the Corporate Security Council. Develops and implements the necessary processes to enhance the data processing environment for the members and staff. Works closely on teams comprised of leaders from other departments to drive continuous improvement throughout the credit union.     Knowledge, Skills and Abilities       1. Extensive knowledge of a wide range of credit unions compliance issues, and developed personal relationships with credit union executives, and a broad knowledge of the credit union industry.     2. Strategic planning and advanced leadership skills.     3. Ability to provide strategic guidance and counsel to clientele in the assessment and development of existing and/or proposed systems.     4. Ability to develop requests for and evaluate proposals in reference to leading-edge information services technology.     5. Must be knowledgeable on a broad scale of technical solutions to problems, and possess an extensive background in data processing software skills as well as hardware knowledge, and futuristic thinking.     6.  Must be knowledgeable of Microsoft programming languages (3 GL and SQL) with intermediate skill level.                   Position Requirements Education and Experience   Must have a minimum of 5 to 10 years of management experience. Previous Data Processing experience.
