The Bradley House Housekeeper is a detail oriented, reliable team player responsible for ensuring an exceptional overnight stay at the Club from start to finish. This is a full time position requiring a flexible schedule and morning/day availability. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Creates a welcoming environment for members and their guests in the Bradley House. Greets members and guests in a friendly and enthusiastic manner. Provides newspaper to occupied rooms early in the morning and prepares breakfast for members and guests following specifications. Prepares all linens needed to perform duties based on list of rooms occupied provided by the front desk. Cleans, polishes and vacuums all rooms, including but not limited to, toilets, sinks, mirrors, rugs, furniture, phones, blinds, window sills, headboards, and baseboards, TV, lamps, refrigerators, and coffee stations. Pays close attention to detail. Makes beds neatly and according to Housekeeping standards. Replaces linens, shower curtains, bathrobes, and towels when necessary and makes sure all amenities, stationary, water, glasses, ice bucket, supplies, etc are re-stocked. Updates Bradley House Guest Services Book when assigned by supervisor. Makes sure closets in rooms have iron, lanterns, luggage rack, iron table, extra blanket, extra pillows, shower mat, men's and ladies' hangers, safety box, and laundry bags. Keeps sitting areas, hallways, entrance and porch clean and organized. Rotates periodically to get training and experience in other areas of the club. Reports to supervisor any problems or repairs needed. If supervisor is not available, communicates the issue to the Front Desk and/or the Manager on Duty. Follows department and Chevy Chase Club policies and procedures including, but not limited to parking, cell phone use and conduct on the floor. Acts ethically and honestly at all times. Adheres to all uniform, grooming & hygiene standards and maintains a professional appearance at all times. Arrives to work on time and performs all duties during scheduled hours. When necessary, follows proper procedures for tardiness, calling out and requests off. Displays commitment to the Club by demonstrating integrity and initiative toward assigned tasks and willingness to learn. Follows verbiage standards when interacting with members and guests and communicates effectively with management and co-workers. Makes a considerable effort to exceed members and guests expectations. Is attentive to members/guests, and tries to anticipate their needs on a consistent basis.
